We know you want power behind your diesel engine. Your turbocharger is what helps create this power.
We’re here to help you get the best turbocharger for your engine, to make sure you’re getting power that lasts.
That’s why we’re excited to carry this line of turbos from Jrone. In this article, we’re taking you through these high-quality turbos and things to keep in mind as you install one.
About Jrone Turbochargers at HHP
You’re probably wondering what makes this turbo so special. Just what are you going to be getting when you order one?
To start, this is a brand new turbo. It’s never been on an engine and it’s not a reman.
You won’t have to send in a core. That’s one of the great things about buying a brand new turbo.
You’ll also get the actual Turbo Technics VSR balance sheet included with your turbo.
Have you ever bought a turbocharger that came with the balance sheet? If you’re like most people, we’re guessing you haven’t.
It’s pretty unprecedented—we’ve seen a lot of turbos and we’ve never seen that before.
But Jrone goes the extra mile and includes it with their product.
You’ll also get the installation manual, a pair of gloves to install it with, the complete gasket set, turbo drain, turbo feed gasket, turbo mounting, and the syringe to prelube the turbo before startup.
You’ll also get a 1-year warranty with this turbo.
Turbo Install Tips
If you’re taking on the job of installing your turbo yourself, we’ve got a few tips to help you.
First, you’ll want to prelube the turbo. Use clean oil to lubricate all the components well before startup.
To prelube, add your oil to the oil inlet. Then, you’ll need to hand turn the shaft.
Make sure you’re using the oil specified by the manufacturer.
Keep your turbo as clean as possible during install, because even a small amount of dirt or contamination can lead to a lot of damage.
Next, you’ll want to check the oil passages and change your oil filter. Clean oil filters help prevent buildup, ensuring your turbo is well-lubricated.
If you use new components, like your gaskets and o-rings, you can help prevent leaks.
The oil outlet should be vertical, or up to 20 degrees from vertical.
Making sure your hoses and connections are properly torqued and connected can also help keep leaks from springing up.
Let your engine idle for a few minutes to make sure you’re getting correct oil pressure.
And, as with all other installs, make sure you’re referencing manufacturer instructions for your specific engine and components.
