Technical Data

The Bull Gear is the large gear in the front of the engine that is driven from the crankshaft gear. The Bull Gear turns the camshaft, water pump, air compressor, power steering pump, fuel pump and accessory drive which in turn drives the alternator and air conditioning compressor.

Failure to Replace Worn Bull Gear may result in:
- Excessive gear wear and chipped/broken teeth
- Broken casting near bearing journal
- Failed Bearings

Installation Tips

When changing the bull gear, the rear cover only has to be lined up if you remove it.
