About the Stage 4 Performance Cylinder Head

As we mentioned, this head is the ultimate head you can get for your Caterpillar 3406E, C15, or C15 ACERT. This head can handle the extra horsepower you get from any upgraded components.

Like the Stage 3 Performance Cylinder head, this head features all upgraded valves throughout, both the intake and exhaust. These valves are going to be made out of inconel material, meaning they can handle higher temperature and pressure than the standard valve.

Inconel material is most commonly used in racing, super-charged, turbo-charged, and boosted applications. If you push a standard valve beyond its temperature and pressure capabilities, you can end up with something called chordal fracture. The valves are typically upgraded in performance series engines to prevent this from happening. Inconel material in the valves results in a stronger, longer-lasting cylinder head.

Beyond the valves, though, this head also features fire rings. the deck has been machined for fire rings around each cylinder. They cut a groove and insert a stainless steel ring that is going to prevent head gasket blow-outs. So, when you're running the ultimate pressure and big horsepower, this is the head that's going to keep your engine together. It's got the stuff to last.

This cylinder head is built off the strong foundation that you know and love. It's going to give you higher coolant flow, higher nicker content, and an improved casting. In other words, this head can take what you throw at it.

Benefits of the Stage 4 Performance Cylinder Head

This cylinder head is built for your 3406 E / C15 / C15 ACERT engine applications. It features new inconel intake and exhaust valves, which are stronger and more durable than stainless steel.

It's designed for higher horsepower engines, as it maintains structural integrity under high pressure and stress. It also resists corrosion, oxidation, pitting, and cracking.

As we talked about earlier, what sets this head apart from the other Performance Series cylinder heads is that it comes installed with stainless steel fire rings machined into the deck. This can prevent head gasket blow-outs.

Beyond that, this head comes with new valve springs, new spring retainers, and new valve keepers. You're also going to get your cam bearings pre-installed.

Crafted with higher nickel content for increased strength and durability and built to OEM specifications, this head is ready for your high-horsepower engine. And it's assembled in the USA!

You can save up to 50% off the OEM pricing and it comes with a 1-year parts warranty. This head might be the best option for your CAT 3406E, C15, or C15 ACERT.
