VGT Advantages
Many people still think that VGTs are more trouble than they’re worth. But, there’s actually quite a few advantages to them.
A VGT can be both a big and a small turbo, giving your a broad torque curve. This allows for better engine performance, especially with heavy loads.
A VGT also helps give you better engine braking. It does this by choking off the exhaust housing, which in turn slows the truck down better.
Properly replacing your VGT also helps to avoid the problems that comes with deleting, including fines and other penalties. Deleting also means you’ll be banned from operating in states with strict regulations.
If you delete, you’re also limiting the amount of shops that will work on your engine. This means that you might not be able to get a repair done quickly, or well.
