When a remanufacturer re-chromes a component, they put a coating on the surface of the barrel and plunger instead of just replacing the component.
In many cases, even under normal operating conditions, that coating fails prematurely.
So we don’t sell pumps with re-chromed parts. It’s a way some manufacturers save money at your expense, and we just don’t think it’s the same quality.
